Our mission at Vitality Vibe is to empower office workers with practical tools – incorporating movement, breathing techniques and mindfulness – to support their wellbeing, reduce stress and feel more at ease in their bodies both on and off the mat.

Yoga breathing is a safe and natural way to quickly affect your autonomic nervous system. Most of us are stuck on autopilot, and we’re
getting bounced around by our environment leaving us feeling wired but tired, imbalanced, and frazzled.

Yoga breathing offers many of the same benefits as meditation, but it’s easier to learn, can be practiced anywhere, and the results are very predictable.

Vitality Vibe works with companies and organisations to deliver bespoke Well-being Programs to build a happier, healthier and more productive workforce.

A program can be in-person or virtual, a one-off event or regular classes. The programs are bespoke to your requirements, are suitable for complete beginners and customised to deliver results.

Many of my clients are also providing their employees with a subscription to my on-demand class platform, so that they can benefit from unlimited yoga, breathing and meditation classes at any time of the day and in a way that works for them.

Yoga Breathing Techniques

Yoga breathing has been practiced for thousands of years, but this modern approach demystifies the practices and focuses on real-world science and results.  No experience is necessary, these practices are accessible to everyone.

Deliberate breathing affects your nervous system in as little as two to five minutes, and the effects vary based on how fast or slow you breathe.

Balancing practices are designed to calm you down if you’re over-stimulated, and to boost your energy if you’re lethargic.  These practices can be performed at any time of the day.

Relaxing practices stimulate the parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) branch of your autonomic nervous system. Slow breathing boosts your carbon dioxide levels, opens up your breathing passageways, slows your heart, and lowers your cortisol levels. These practices can put you to sleep so they are best practiced in the evening.

Energising practices stimulate your sympathetic (fight or flight) response and puts you in a ready state for exercise, busy work, and physical activities. These practices should be used first thing in the morning or just before exercise, but should be used sparingly and not before bed or you will find it difficult to sleep!

Investing in a yoga breathing program aligns with current trends in corporate wellness and can demonstrate your company’s commitment to your employee’s health and happiness. It will also lead to a more productive and engaged workforce.

What My Clients Say To Me...

Thank you so much Shirli for the classes at HITtheWALL 2022. All Swimmers left the classes with more knowledge of how to maintain injury free when swimming longer distances, swimmers just felt so relaxed and energised for the swims over the weekend. You are very attentive and intuitive teacher, great at adapting every pose to work for every swimmer in the room. I just really love the way (and the what) you teach can’t wait to have you at HITtheWALL 2023. Thank you – classes were just perfect

I have attended Shirli yoga classes for the last number of years and I just love Shirli’s style of teaching whether it is in a studio or on the beach. Her personality just shines through. She teaches from her heart and has a wealth of knowledge that she shares regularly in her classes. Her classes are always fun and engaging. Her classes cater for all levels and right now I am recovering from an injury, I can still attend the classes as she has shown me poses that I can adapt that doesn’t hinder me from taking part. I can highly recommend Shirli Yoga classes and retreats.”

Shirli took on a group from PTSB and I can only describe the overall experience as phenomenal. The benefits were felt from day 1 of the 6 week program. The sessions were both fun and beneficial. Every participant raved about it and were all in better form from day 1. Cannot recommend Shirli any higher than saying we will be all reconnecting for a further program. 10 out of 10.

Shirli visited our school during our annual Health & Well Being week. She spent the day introducing Yoga to all age groups and discussing health and wellness tips with our students.
Shirli created an environment which was not just inviting but with a calming and relaxing vibe. This was the first time for many students to participate in yoga and self-reflection through exercise.
Some student’s comment’s
” It was amazing! Can we incorporate this into class every week.”
“I’m not flexible but I want to work on it to become better in other sports, and I loved the fact I got to exercise my whole body while also calming the mind. I feel totally relaxed and I just loved it”.
“This should be incorporated in everyday life, every student should practice yoga.”

I would be lying if I said all students were keen to participate. I did have to coerce many of our male Rugby students through the door. However, I wish I could bottle up their gratitude and appreciation for yoga when they were leaving the class.
It was amazing. Loved having Shirli and would recommend her for school group classes, adult classes and personal one to one class.
A joy to be around

As team leader for World Skills Ireland, I contacted Shirlí to assist with the team’s preparation before their competition in Abu Dhabi. During their session with Shirlí they learned techniques to help them feel calm and in control which they implemented at the World Skills event. Shirlí was definitely able to connect with the team.

Emer McGrath, Team Leader

Shirlí has been teaching yoga and meditation classes in our office for the past 3 years. She creates a warm and positive environment and we leave the classes feeling positive and ready for the day ahead. She was also a part of our wellness day when management invited her in to give workshops on meditation.
