At Vitality Vibe we offer unique experiences that celebrate our connection to the natural world, ourselves and each other.

We provide a variety of Health & Wellness practices weekly from May through to October, including Yoga, Qi-Gong, Full Moon Fire Ceremonies, Sunrise Solstice gatherings, Strength and Embodied Movement.

Our venue is the Priest’s beach in Blackrock, Co.Louth.  This beach is renowned for it’s natural beauty and a sense of calm away from the bustling beach on the main street in Blackrock village.  The Preist’s beach is located across from the church.

Where there are two dates listed it means the event will take place on one of those days, the one with the best weather.  Updates are sent weekly so make sure to join the WhatsApp broadcast.  It will also be advertised on Instagram & Facebook, follow on the links below.

Where there is only one date listed the event will take place on that day provided it’s not blowing a gale and lashing rain. 

NOTE: Events will go ahead unless the weather is absolutely terrible. This is Ireland after all so waiting for the perfect day is a long wait!

Embodied Movement with Sandra

is a chance to experiment with movement in a fun and playful way.  In this class we explore how different mindfulness, somatic and dance practices can support you to connect with the sensations of your body and express them through movement, thus providing the body with an opportunity to release accumulated stress, tension and trauma. 

Sandra teaches the class in a way that everyone can do it at their level and ability. It was good for my Body, Mind and Spirit. She is a great teacher, explains her class well, it’s fun and one can feel comfortable.” – Lena, Ireland


Qi-Gong with Nessa

Qi is the energy found in every living thing, be it person, animal or flower, Gong is a process or method.  Qigong is therefore the process of balancing and harmonising Qi in the body, heart-mind and spirit, through movement, breath and meditation leaving you feeling less physical discomfort in your body and more balanced emotionally.

Serenity Strength with Irma

Irma has been working in the Personal Training and Fitness Industry for more than 14 years and has a lot of experience working with women going through perimenopause and menopause.  Her focus in our beach sessions will be on keeping your cortisol (stress) levels low and improving your muscle strength and bone density through light body resistance work.

Yoga with Becky, Aisling & Laura

These 3 ladies have over 70 years of yoga experience combined!  They all have different styles that they love to teach and adapt to suit the students present.  Becky teaches Hatha Yoga, Aisling Kundalini Yoga and Laura being an ultra runner specialises in Yoga to balance the body from repetitive motions which can be anything from running to sitting at a desk all day!

Fire Ceremonies with Rían

Fire is a transformational element. It provides a way for you to honour your lessons and release old belief structures thus enabling you to heal your soul deeply.  A fire ceremony is a symbolic event that involves cleansing, healing and manifesting.  They are typically held around the full or new moon of each month and are a way to release unwanted energies/emotions and attachments from the past and make space for new intentions. 

The ceremony connects us to nature, to ourselves and each other as we sit on the beach, smell the smells, listen to the sounds, feel the textures, taste the air and the smoke, watch the fire and our surroundings.  Rían will invite you to gather around the fire, set your intentions and make an offering to the fire of dried mugwort.  Burning dried mugwort can help dispel stagnant energy, remove spiritual obstacles, and create a sacred atmosphere for healing. 

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q.1  Are the classes suitable for beginners?

Yes!  All of our instructors are very highly qualified and will welcome you where you are at.  

Q.2 Do I need to bring anything?

Please bring an exercise mat and wear lots of layers.  Quite often people will hang back afterwards with a picnic so why not meet your friends and pack a picnic and make a morning/evening out of it!

Q.3 How much is it?

For the regular 1 hour sessions it costs €10, the Full Moon sessions are €25 and the Summer Solstice is €15.  Please bring cash with you as our instructors have no access to card payments.

Q.4 Do I need to book in advance?

No, you simply show up.

Q.5 Where can I park?

We suggest parking in the village carpark, just below the Centra shop and then there is a walkway around to the beach.  The church have asked us not to use their carpark. 

Q.6 How will I know if the event is cancelled?

Q.7 Where do the events take place?

All of our offerings are on the Priest’s beach in Blackrock, Co.Louth.  We are located on the furthest end of the beach away from the apartments beside the rocks.

Having been accustomed to live yoga classes I never imagined it any other way. Along came lockdown and Zoom yoga classes were a lifeline both for the yoga content and the banter with Shirli and the group. Then Vitality Vibe arrived and I thought initially that it wouldn’t be for me. I doubted my own motivation to use the site and if I did it would be a “robotic” process! But, knowing I could cancel at any time, I took up membership and joined a whole new world....... Yoga classes recorded from live classes (some of which I had attended) so nothing “robotic” about them. Shirli’s teaching is so natural and easy to follow, with options for all abilities and the banter is still there! The options for doing my practice are varied. I can choose the length of time I want to spend and choose the areas I want to work on (all clearly laid out). I also like to walk and I have used the site for short (18 mins) sessions to loosen up before a long hill walk. Yoga, with all its options, is only a part of what is available from Vitality Vibe. There’s an entire medical cabinet waiting to be discovered.
