Come on your own or with your gal gang, a warm welcome awaits you. 

Your morning will begin by setting an intention for your day.  Followed by a gentle flow yoga class suitable for absolutely everyone as Shirlí offers lots of modifications.  Aisling will then lead you through mantra and breathing practices.

We’ll take a break for a bite to eat next door in Rocksalt cafe (their food is devine!) After lunch a mindful walk along Carlingfords greenway with spectacular views over Carlingford lough and the Mourne mountains beyond. 

Ola will then guide you through a tribal dance session (feel free to bring a skirt for this and break out your feminine side!) and we will finish with a soundbath (no water involved) and cacao ceremony.

Shirlí has been teaching yoga for over 10 years and has extensive knowledge in functional movement, stress management and breathing techniques to soothe the nervous system.

Sound therapist

Ola has been practicing yoga for 20 years, is a qualified sound therapist, advanced gong therapist, yin yoga instructor and children’s gymnastics coach. 

Aisling Halpenny

Yoga & Pilates instructor

Aisling is a highly qualified yoga and pilates instructor with many years experience.  Her style of yoga has been influenced by many traditions, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga Yoga and Kundalini in particular. 

About our venue:

Our retreat takes place on the second level of the Carlingford marina main building and it offers stunning views of Carlingford lough and the mountains of Mourne.  Situated inside the building is Rocksalt cafe, renowned for it’s award winning wholesome food.

Carlingford is a charming medieval village situated on the east coast of Ireland, in the heart of the Cooley Peninsula, at the foot of Slieve Foy and overlooking the Mourne mountains. Located halfway between the cities of Belfast and Dublin it offers visitors medieval lanes and cobbled streets lined with smart boutiques and antique yards, adventure centres and hiking routes.

It’s a special place where mountains, forest, hills and rivers meet the sea.

Shirli took on a group from PTSB and I can only describe the overall experience as phenomenal. The benefits were felt from day 1 of the 6 week program. The sessions were both fun and beneficial. Thank you so much Shirli for the classes at HITtheWALL 2022. All Swimmers left the classes with more knowledge of how to maintain injury free when swimming longer distances, swimmers just felt so relaxed and energised for the swims over the weekend. Having been accustomed to live yoga classes I never imagined it any other way. Along came lockdown and Zoom yoga classes were a lifeline both for the yoga content and the banter with Shirli and the group. Then Vitality Vibe arrived and I thought initially that it wouldn’t be for me. I doubted my own motivation to use the site and if I did it would be a “robotic” process! But, knowing I could cancel at any time, I took up membership and joined a whole new world....... Yoga classes recorded from live classes (some of which I had attended) so nothing “robotic” about them. Shirli’s teaching is so natural and easy to follow, with options for all abilities and the banter is still there! The options for doing my practice are varied. I can choose the length of time I want to spend and choose the areas I want to work on (all clearly laid out). I also like to walk and I have used the site for short (18 mins) sessions to loosen up before a long hill walk. Yoga, with all its options, is only a part of what is available from Vitality Vibe. There’s an entire medical cabinet waiting to be discovered.
