How this session can help you
Do you feel that your body is aging too fast? Do you suffer from tight hips, a stiff neck, a painful lower back, or restricted shoulder movements?
In this class we passively stretch the body using props such as bolsters & blocks helping you regain lost mobility so you feel less locked up in your body and a younger version of you!
At the end of this session you have the opportunity to hang back for a cup of sleep inducing tea, a slice of cake and a natter with Shirlí and your fellow classmates.
This provides a great opportunity to ask Shirlí any questions you may have, to flick through books that Shirlí recommends to understand and improve your sleep and also a little time to connect to others with similar interests.
Did your body posture influences your nervous system and your nervous system plays a huge role in your ability to switch off, fall asleep and stay asleep.
In this masterclass Shirlí will teach you the body positions that affect your nervous system both positively and negatively and you will learn a 15 minute stretching routine to implement before bed.
Stress and our ability to reduce it is a major player when it comes to deep, restful sleep.
In this masterclass you will learn mindfulness and meditation techniques to help reduce your stress, anxiety and sense of overwhelm. We will also explore the significance of gratitude and journaling to help slow down your over thinking mind.
All of the techniques we practice in this masterclass have a down-regulating effect on the nervous system. Meaning it brings it out of 'fight/flight' mode and into 'rest/repair'
As we release tension from both the physical body and the mind, the nervous system begins to relax, this then places us into a down regulated state ideal for sleep!

It helps you maintain a healthy weight, keeps your immune system strong, improves your mood and focus, keeps your heart healthy, reduces your stress levels and improves your emotional and mental wellbeing.
I have been practicing yoga since 2009 and a qualified teacher since 2012
I love to learn and expand my knowledge so alongside different yoga qualifications I am also qualified in mindfulness, meditation, stress management and I am a certified Breath coach.
I have been blessed to teach a huge variety of groups and individuals.
Here is a little of what I have been up to:
I am qualified in children’s yoga and I have worked with Special Needs Ireland, the Realt na Mara autistic unit in Dundalk, the Grammar secondary school in Drogheda and I have run my own children’s programs for 4-12 year olds.
I am qualified in athletes yoga and I have worked with GAA teams, long distance open water swimmers, triathletes, cyclists and runners both on an individual basis and within clubs. I have worked with Aura leisure complex and Felda gym, both in Dundalk, Co.Louth.
I created and implemented a ‘Get Ireland’s Seniors Moving’ program to many groups throughout Co.Louth and I have worked 1-1 with individuals like myself that have had traumatic injuries.
I have given wellness talks throughout many sectors including Permanent TSB, Boylesports, Home Instead, Revenue, Dundalk Institute of Technology, Color Code hair salon and Sync IT computer specialists.
I teach online through zoom, I run workshops monthly and retreats 2-3 times per year. I’m easy to find on social media @vitalityvibe. I would love to see you in class some day and I hope my experience and knowledge helps you advance toward your mind-body fitness goals.
