This monthly session was created so I could share with you techniques to calm and balance your nervous system so you can achieve more deep, restful sleep.  
Combined these tools will improve your ability to both fall asleep and stay asleep leaving you feeling refreshed the following day.

How this session can help you

Reduced Stress

Stress and our ability to reduce it is a major player when it comes to deep, restful sleep.

In this masterclass you will learn mindfulness and meditation techniques to help reduce your stress, anxiety and sense of overwhelm. We will also explore the significance of gratitude and journaling to help slow down your over thinking mind.

Improved Sleep

All of the techniques we practice in this session have a down-regulating effect on the nervous system. Meaning it brings us out of 'fight/flight' mode and into 'rest/repair'

As we release tension from both the physical body and the mind, the nervous system begins to relax, this then places us into a down regulated state ideal for sleep!

Improved Quality of Life

When we improve the quality of our sleep, it dramatically impacts all other areas of our lives.

It helps you maintain a healthy weight, keeps your immune system strong, improves your mood and focus, keeps your heart healthy, reduces your stress levels and improves your emotional and mental wellbeing.


2008 – repeated IT band injury from triathlon training
2008 – started yoga for injury, thought ‘what a load of crap!’ didn’t go back
2008 – months later, still injured, went back!
2009 – completed 1/2 ironman injury free, 𝐲𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲
2009 – my dad was very sick and subsequently passed away
2009 – I found yoga really helped my mind, 𝐲𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲
2012 – went to India, became a yoga teacher
2013 – car accident, broke my neck, brain haemorrhage & lots more!
2014-2019 – 𝐲𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 & 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐏𝐓𝐒𝐃 & 𝐚𝐧𝐱𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲
2020 – became certified breath coach as found breathing a great stepping stone to meditation
2021 – started Kundalini yoga which has a strong focus on your energy system 𝐲𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲
2020 – 2024 multiple miscarriages & rounds of IVF, 𝐲𝐨𝐠𝐚 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐬 𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲
2024 – still teaching & preaching the benefits of yoga!

The moral of this story is that Yoga has got me through a LOT of stuff! I reckon it can help you too.

If you’d like to try it out, the first class is on me! Come back or not, that’s up to you.  I believe that we come to Yoga – the practice of uniting the mind and the body – at the perfect time for us.  In 2008 I wasn’t ready but a year later I was practicing 3 times per week, 3 years later I was studying in an ashram in India to qualify as as teacher 😃

Side note: Not every style of yoga will be YOUR practice and not every teacher will be right for you.  That’s why I say we are like hair dressers – you need to try a few, find the one who does it the way you like it and stick with that one!

Shirli took on a group from PTSB and I can only describe the overall experience as phenomenal. The benefits were felt from day 1 of the 6 week program. The sessions were both fun and beneficial. Having been accustomed to live yoga classes I never imagined it any other way. Along came lockdown and Zoom yoga classes were a lifeline both for the yoga content and the banter with Shirli and the group. Then Vitality Vibe arrived and I thought initially that it wouldn’t be for me. I doubted my own motivation to use the site and if I did it would be a “robotic” process! But, knowing I could cancel at any time, I took up membership and joined a whole new world....... Yoga classes recorded from live classes (some of which I had attended) so nothing “robotic” about them. Shirli’s teaching is so natural and easy to follow, with options for all abilities and the banter is still there! The options for doing my practice are varied. I can choose the length of time I want to spend and choose the areas I want to work on (all clearly laid out). I also like to walk and I have used the site for short (18 mins) sessions to loosen up before a long hill walk. Yoga, with all its options, is only a part of what is available from Vitality Vibe. There’s an entire medical cabinet waiting to be discovered.
